Priorities
Equitable Education
Essential to building a stronger community is access to equitable educational opportunities and programs to help our youth develop real life skills.
Mental Health
Children and youth deserve a committed advocate that prioritizes their physical and mental well-being. Even before the pandemic, we faced mental health challenges leaving us with a tremendous task ahead of us in making schools healthier for all.
Transformative Justice
As the founder and Executive Director of T.R.U.E. Diversity, Tanya is an advocate for restorative justice. Children and youth need less punitive practices e.g. detention, suspension, expulsion and more creative ways of being held accountable.
