Tanya Lobo Endorsed for Taunton At-Large City Councilor by Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund
The Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund has endorsed Tanya Lobo in the election for Taunton At-Large City Councilor, a credit to her commitment to the environment and climate action. With issues of public health, environmental justice, transportation, and energy policy inextricably linked, we need leaders at every level of government who understand the intersectionality of issues within their community and will call for bold action.
“ELM Action Fund is thrilled to endorse Tanya Lobo for City Council because of her commitment to a stronger and healthier Taunton” said Clare Kelly, ELM Action Fund Executive Director. “Taunton needs leaders like Tanya that are working to improve air quality, reduce emissions and protect the cities natural resources”
“The momentous impacts of racial injustice and the pandemic of 2020 moved me to be an active change agent in my community. Environmental stewardship is very important and taking care of each other includes taking care of our environment. I’ll work collaboratively with experts and advocates to protect and preserve our precious resources in Taunton,” said Lobo. “I am humbled to know others support me to this magnitude and will always keep people as my priority.”
Tanya Lobo is a proud Afro-Latina, a mother of three, and a Taunton resident who is committed to building a stronger community.
